April 16, 2015 – Versique announced today it will kick off its fourth annual women’s professional clothing drive to support local non-profit, Dress for Success Twin Cities. The two-week clothing drive will take place April 22 – May 7, and will conclude with a celebratory happy hour at the Versique offices on Thursday, May 7th from 4:00-7:00pm. The evening is open to the public, and will include mingling, networking, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction activities, and live music by Tim Mahoney. Participants are encouraged to make clothing and/or financial donation drop offs at any time during the drive or they can bring donations to the celebratory happy hour. While Dress for Success accepts solely women’s professional clothing, men are encouraged to attend the event as well. Versique’s office is located just west of West End at 6465 Wayzata Blvd, Suite 970, Minneapolis MN 55426.

Accepted donations include professional women’s attire from the current season: blazers, blouses, skirts, slacks, dresses, sweaters, shoes, handbags, accessories, jewelry, coats, new/unused undergarments, and new/unused cosmetics. Regrettably, the following donations cannot be accepted: non-interview appropriate attire, sportswear or causal clothes, evening wear, used undergarments, cosmetics and pantyhose, and men’s clothing. Financial donations are welcomed. Checks can be made out to “Dress for Success Twin Cities” and can be sent to Versique’s office or delivered the evening of the Dress for Success Happy Hour.
Last year, Versique’s drive resulted in the single-largest donation to the Twin Cities branch of Dress for Success ever, with a total of 62 large bags of clothing and four full clothing racks (an estimated 300 hanging items). The year before, the drive collected 42 large bags of professional women’s attire.
“We look forward to partnering with Dress for Success for a fourth year. They are a valuable resource to the Twin Cities community, and we are honored to be able to provide clothing donations and interview skills workshops to their clients,” said Chris Ohlendorf, co-founder of Versique and committee chair of the firm’s volunteer committee.
Dress for Success Twin Cities promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Versique’s company culture and core values prioritize supporting the community and finding meaningful ways to give back to local non-profit organizations. With its large network of professional connections across human resources, information technology, marketing, etc., a clothing drive for professional attire is a natural fit for Versique.
We welcome financial donations for Dress for Success Twin Cities, even if you are not able to attend the event!
