The Private Banker will provide sales and services to professional and executive clients and include significant business development activities. This position will assist with credit and deposit support, including underwriting, documentation, and credit administration for both personal and commercial loans. This position will produce high-quality professional service that is accurate and complete and fulfills the intended purpose of presenting a positive image to clients. Due to the nature of this position, a high level of professionalism must always be maintained.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Retain and grow existing customer deposit and loan relationships and acquire new ones, including participating in outside client calls and handling customer inquiries.
- Resolve customer problems, obtain information, request record research, and follow up on details to resolve the matter to the customer's satisfaction.
- Generate new deposit accounts and cross-sell other ancillary products and services.
- Prepare preliminary client correspondence and customized professional presentation materials to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Participate in various professional associations and community activities to enhance the Bank's visibility and to further personal and professional development.
- Serve as the main contact for the Private Banking Department when clients come into the Bank and/or over the phone.
- Conduct activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures, and systems, the Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act, and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards that protect sensitive information.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of three years of Private Banking experience in business development and customer relationship management.
- Above-average human relations and communication skills.
- Full knowledge of all retail banking, mortgage, and commercial services to sell the Bank's services.
- General knowledge of other bank services and must be able to refer clients to those areas.
- Ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting deadlines.
- Ability to always present a positive image to clients.
- Ability to be flexible with the schedule with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
