Roles and Responsibilities:
Relationship Building:
- Develop and nurture strong, lasting relationships with small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients' unique needs, and providing tailored financial solutions.
Credit Analysis:
- Assess the creditworthiness of businesses applying for commercial loans.
- Work with seasoned credit team on comprehensive financial analysis, risk assessments, and present findings to the credit committee(s).
Business Growth:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the community.
- Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and professionals to expand the bank's commercial client base.
Loan Structuring and Approval:
- Structure and negotiate commercial loan transactions with a focus on meeting client needs.
- Work closely with the credit committee to secure approvals and ensure compliance with our user-friendly policies.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor and manage the performance of the commercial loan portfolio.
- Take a proactive approach in identifying and addressing potential risks to support the long-term success of our clients.
Community Engagement:
- Actively participate in community events, forums, and initiatives that align with our mission.
- Represent the bank as a positive force for local economic development.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, specifically with a focus on C&I loans.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
- Proven track record of successfully originating and managing commercial loans.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for supporting small businesses.
