The Strategic Employee Relations partner is a key leader within the Human Capital team, responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This strategic role involves building strong relationships and advising on employee relations issues to ensure employment laws and regulations compliance. As a trusted advisor to employees and management, the Employee Relations Strategic Partner is crucial in promoting fair and consistent practices that align with the company's culture and values. High energy, professionalism, knowledge, ability to multi-task, and being a self-starter are keys to success in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations Strategy: Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and programs that align with organizational goals and foster a positive work environment.
  • Employee Support and Issue Resolution: Serve as a subject matter expert on employee complaints, concerns and management, ensuring timely and fair resolution in line with company policies and legal standards.
  • Conduct and Document Investigations: Lead investigations process ensuring impartiality, compliance, and proper documentation. Collaborate closely with the business, COEs, and Legal teams to ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies. Recommend appropriate resolutions that mitigate risk and support company values.
  • Manager Enablement and Guidance: Develop tools and resources that empower people leaders in managing employee relations effectively. Provide training and guidance to Human Capital Business Partners (HCBPs) and business managers on employee relations matters as needed.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Collaborate with COEs and Legal teams to develop, interpret, and ensure compliance with employment and compliance policies and applicable laws, while implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Proactive Issue Management: Identify potential employee relations issues and develop strategies to prevent or mitigate them, fostering a harmonious and inclusive work environment.
  • Data Analysis and Improvement Initiatives: Monitor key Employee Relations metrics recommending improvement initiatives based on insights. Proactively identify and address trends in workplace conflicts and employee relations issues and recommend strategies to address them.
  • Human Capital: Develop strong working relationships across the HC team, especially with the US HCBPs, to ensure Employee Relations efforts are aligned with business strategies and goals.
  • Transformation: Support various organizational initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations. Be a change agent.
  • External Trending: Monitor best practices to keep employee relations management policies and administrative procedures up to date, ensuring we operate within the law while protecting our organization. Keep one step ahead of HR trends, regulations, and innovative technologies, ensuring our business is always briefed on the latest updates.

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Capital/Human Resources, Industrial Relations or equivalent required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in US employee relations.
  • Experienced in matrix and manufacturing environments required.
  • Bilingual (French and/or Spanish) preferred.
