Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Director, Ecommerce will play a key role in leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of our ecommerce retail channels (Chewy, Amazon, etc.) and our retail marketing and brand presence across the channel. The Senior Director of Ecommerce will drive e-commerce revenue growth, enhance customer experience, and integrate digital marketing initiatives across retail marketplaces (Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, etc.). The ideal candidate must have pet industry experience and will bring a deep understanding of ecommerce, retail media networks, digital transformation, and omnichannel marketing with a proven track record of scaling online sales.
Worksite Location: Remote with 20% travel
Salary: $140k - $175k base salary plus annual bonus

Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an innovative omnichannel ecommerce strategy to drive revenue growth across retail marketplaces.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between ecommerce platforms and internal business systems.
- Optimize the digital customer journey, increasing trial conversion rates, retention, and lifetime value.
- Lead vendor negotiations and build customer relationships to support profitable brand growth within ecommerce channels.
- Manage and deploy retail media and marketing across channels such as Amazon and Chewy.
- Partner with internal teams to source and upgrade content, perform SEO, launch new items, and coordinate off-platform marketing with on-platform initiatives.
- Own and manage ecommerce P&L, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to track key KPIs (conversion rates, CAC, LTV, ROAS, etc.) and implement continuous optimizations.
- Lead and develop direct reports and agency partners for success.
- Collaborate with Sales, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to align ecommerce and digital initiatives with broader company objectives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing forward emerging ecommerce technologies, AI tools, and digital marketing advancements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, digital commerce or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing or omnichannel strategy in the pet industry, CPG retail.
- Proven ability to scale digital revenue and manage P&L responsibilities.
- Must have expertise in Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and Retail Media Networks.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SEO, paid media, digital analytics, and A/B testing.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with agency partners.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Strong brand-building experience combined with previous success creating an exceptional digital customer shopping experience.
