Our client is looking to hire a Safety Manager who plays a pivotal role in providing client safety consulting services, leading their assigned team, and actively contributing to the business development efforts. Consulting services encompass a wide range of activities, including training, program development, audits, and industrial hygiene support for various companies. Leadership responsibilities involve coaching, development, performance management, and quality audits of associates, ensuring the highest level of service delivery. Additionally, the Safety Manager actively engages in business development activities, networking, marketing, and guiding direct reports to meet growth objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing team.
- Ability to LMA – leading, managing and holding direct reports accountable.
- Strong knowledge of local, state and federal safety regulations and industry standards.
- Industrial hygiene hazard identification skills.
- Proven experience in safety management or consulting.
- Professional and compelling presentation skills that engage the audience.
- Enthusiastic about promoting company services and capable of handling rejection with resilience.
- Strong follow-through and quick follow-up.
- Actively contribute innovative sales and marketing ideas.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Highly flexible in alternating work schedules to accommodate customer needs.
- Excel at being flexible, adapting to change, and working as a team.
- Strong ability and interest in teaching, coaching, and educating.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- A strong self-starter is required.
- Outstanding track record of consistently achieving quarterly sales targets.
- Proficient in utilizing essential tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Teams, Zoom, and HubSpot to market to expand the company's client database and to interact with clients and/or potential clients.
- At ease working with a diverse client base in small to mid-sized manufacturing and construction industries.
- A clean driving record with a current license is required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 + years of background in safety-related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field (preferred).
- Current Outreach Trainer certified for General Industry or Construction (preferred).
- Ability to travel within territory.
- MA degree in Safety (preferred).
- Background in working with iAuditor/Procore, ISNET, Avetta, and DOT (preferred).
- Safety certifications such as OHST ASP and CSP (preferred).
Remote position
Salary range: 85-110K DOQ
