Quality Engineering Supervisor (ID:46096)
Are you looking to join a growing, smaller company and make an immediate impact?  We are seeking a quality engineer to develop the quality system and supplier evaluation program and lead a small team.

This exciting Quality Engineer role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for manufacturing processes, products, and systems. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, this role works externally with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure product standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Review new product designs and work with the engineering team to identify suppliers
  • Support the production team by reviewing procedures and work instructions and developing appropriate inspection processes and procedures
  • Review and audit processes and test procedures for inspections and testing of PCBs, ensuring IPC standards are being followed.
  • Identify the root causes of production problems and recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality and recommend changes for product modification or process procedures.
  • Develop supplier scorecards
  • Assess new suppliers and monitor performance to ensure quality standards are aligned
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Current reports include a quality inspector and a quality intern, with potential for additional staff in the future. 
  • Provide work direction and performance management for the team

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or work experience plus a degree in a related discipline)
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and familiarity with IPC standards
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communicator externally and internally
  • Interest in leading a small team and building out the quality function
