The President's focus will include developing infrastructure, internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure best practices, creating an environment of collaboration that aligns with organizational objectives and goals, advising ownership on market trends and opportunities, and improving productivity and performance while liaising with partners, external stakeholders, and the community.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and articulate the organization's vision, mission, and long-term strategy
- Oversee the implementation of policies and initiatives that align with organizational goals
- Create and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve organizational growth and sustainability
- Conduct regular assessments of industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions
- Assess competitors, both local and national, business models and growth strategies to help develop an organizational roadmap
Executive Management:
- Supervise and guide the Leadership Team
- Delegate responsibilities to ensure effective operations across all departments
- Partner with ownership in analyzing the business and all departments (HR, Finance, Executive, and others) to ensure efficiency and productivity, making recommendations that will positively impact the bottom line
- Lead decision-making on critical business, operational, and financial matters
- Develop internal infrastructure, create internal controls, develop new policies and procedures, and communicate and evangelize new standards throughout the organization
- Conduct technology audits, access current software and security needs, and make recommendations to improve efficiency, user experience, and cost
- Increase productivity and profitability
Culture and Team Development:
- Inspire and lead a high-performing Leadership Team to execute the organizational strategy
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture focused on achieving development goals
- Mentor and empower leaders within the organization to enhance leadership capacity
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive organizational growth and expansion
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners
- Champion innovation and lead initiatives to diversify revenue streams
Organizational Growth and Change Management:
- Lead efforts to scale the organization's operations, programs, and service offerings effectively
- Oversee the design and implementation of change initiatives to improve efficiency and impact
- Drive innovation across departments to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation:
- Serve as a key leadership representative of the organization with external stakeholders, partners, and the community
- Advocate for the organization's mission and strategic goals in public forums and industry settings
- Build coalitions and alliances to amplify the organization's influence and reach
Governance and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with the owner to set organizational priorities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the owner, staff, and external stakeholders
- Report to the owner on organizational performance and strategic objectives
Financial Oversight:
- Approve budgets, financial plans, and significant expenditures
- Monitor fiscal health and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Lead efforts to secure funding, investments, and financial partnerships
Public Representation:
- Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization to media and at public events
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and policymakers
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, community events, and high-profile engagements
Risk Management:
- Address organizational challenges, risks, and emergencies promptly
- Develop and execute contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
Organizational Culture and Development:
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration
- Promote professional development and employee engagement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Healthcare leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive role (e.g., CEO, COO, VP)
- Experience with multi-site operations of group homes, adult day, and foster care
- Significant experience and understanding of the healthcare industry, specifically IDD, including regulations, trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Understanding of Minnesota Statutes, specifically Chapter 245D, Licensing for Home and Community-Based Services or understanding of State statutes outside of Minnesota related to Home and Community-Based Services
- Proven experience in developing and executing long-term organizational strategies to drive growth and sustainability
- Demonstrated success in identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships, and driving revenue and profit growth
- Significant experience managing budgets, financial forecasting, and ensuring fiscal accountability for organizations of similar scale
- Track record of cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, strategic partners, and community
- Proven ability to lead organizational transformation, improve efficiency, and implement innovative solutions
- Experience managing multi-functional teams, ensuring alignment of operations with strategic objectives
- History of representing an organization in public forums, including media, conferences, and events
Preferred Experience:
- Experience reporting to an owner, working collaboratively
- Leadership experience in organizations with a regional or national footprint
- Proven success scaling organizations, familiarity with mergers/acquisitions, and managing complex projects
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $175,000-$200,000
- Annual Bonus: Up to $25,000 based on individual and company performance
- Competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and other supplemental coverage options
Anticipated Travel: Minimal, as needed.
