The President/COO will play a pivotal role in shaping VITAL WorkLife's strategic direction, operational excellence, and team engagement. Reporting to the CEO, this executive will oversee strategic planning, operational management, leadership development, and financial oversight, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to drive organizational growth, align resources, and achieve long-term goals.
  • Serve as the company's EOS Evangelist and Integrator by meeting company and department scorecard metrics, driving alignment across the organization, and taking the lead in goal and rock setting during quarterly and annual planning.
  • Facilitate weekly Leadership L10 meetings to ensure effective communication, goal tracking, and team alignment.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of State of the Company meeting messages and updates.
  • Collaborate with departments and teams to connect and align goals and rocks with the organization's vision.
  • Strategically analyze and recommend how big ideas can be implemented within organizational priorities. Operational Excellence and Change Management
  • Ensure adherence to the company's core processes while aligning departmental work with the organization's top priorities and 3-year vision.
  • Lead the company's business intelligence meetings, ensuring that insights, recommendations, and action items are strategic and drive improved decision-making and planning.
  • Establish and promote adherence to nimble project management practices, ensuring leaders and teams hold themselves accountable to these standards to reduce inefficiencies and improve workflows.
  • Oversee implementation and adoption of KPIs and dashboards to monitor progress and improve.
  • Act as an executive sponsor for key initiatives, ensuring resource engagement and accountability.
  • Align and refine Leadership Team roles and accountability to optimize daily operations, enable strategic, forward-thinking planning and decision-making, and drive strategic hiring planning to support organizational growth and priorities.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Collaborate with HR to develop and execute:
  • Three-year People Development strategy to nurture and build a high-performing Leadership Team, focusing on retention, growth, and continuous improvement of foundational elements.
  • Elevate existing practices by designing and implementing strategic hiring plans and talent evaluations to drive organizational growth.
  • Oversee annual employee surveys and focus groups, addressing opportunities and challenges; presenting findings to the Leadership Team, People Leaders, and team members.
  • Foster a growth mindset and a culture of innovation by empowering teams to align their work with the company's vision and create continuous improvement.
  • Drive and oversee change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions, foster employee engagement, and achieve organizational goals.

Financial Oversight and Growth

  • Lead initiatives to enhance profitability and drive sustainable growth that aligns with long-term strategic goals.
  • Oversee revenue forecasting, budget development, and financial management, implementing data-driven strategies to optimize financial performance and support the organization's vision of maximizing operational and market success.
  • Leverage past experience to explore, evaluate and implement innovative pricing models and new growth opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Finance and Administration Team, promoting professional growth and driving improved organizational performance.
  • Lead the Marketing, Sales, and Account Management Department, prioritizing the achievement of 2025 new business targets, driving cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring renewal retention.
  • Provide guidance and support for the Solution & Clinical Operations Department to deliver exceptional service experiences while driving the organization's cost efficiency.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles focusing on operations, strategy, or finance.
  • Strong track record of driving organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in change management, team development, and fostering accountability.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative and visionary approach to leadership.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets, forecast revenues, and evaluate growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • MBA a plus
  • 15+ years of relevant leadership experience in a business setting, operations management, finance, and strategic planning
