We seek a Java Support Software Engineer specializing in support services to troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, assist users, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance system performance and stability. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to deliver an excellent user experience.

Worksite Location: Hybrid position. Seeking either Eagan, MN or Plano, TX based candidates who can work 3 days onsite & 2 days remote, weekly.

Salary Range:  $50-75K base salary

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to software functionality, integrations, data inconsistencies, and performance concerns.
  • Assist users with software setup, configuration, and connectivity issues, guiding them through troubleshooting steps.
  • Maintain accurate records of issue resolutions, technical solutions, and customer interactions within the support system.
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensure processes function correctly, and identify potential risks.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of internal workflows, technical systems, and customer-specific processes.
  • Interpret business needs, evaluate technical challenges, and propose programmable solutions in alignment with coding standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Understanding software integrations, APIs, data migration, and system architecture.
  • Ticketing Systems: Experience with tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Freshdesk.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customers and internal teams.
  • Customer Focus: Dedicated to addressing customer needs and delivering a positive user experience.

Required Skills & Experience: (ensure this heading is bold)

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support or support engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Java SE & Java EE.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
