Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Training & Development Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and conduct employee training sessions on various skills, policies, and compliance areas. This role is crucial in acclimating new hires, presenting engaging training programs, and assessing the effectiveness of training initiatives. Worksite Location: Bloomington, MN– Onsite Opportunity; Seeking Minnesota / Twin Cities based candidate only.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and effectively conduct training sessions for employees on various topics, including skills, policies, and compliance.
  • Acclimate new hires to the business through comprehensive orientation sessions.
  • Present training and development programs using diverse formats, such as e-learning modules, group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos.
  • Utilize best practices in adult learning to ensure engaging and effective training experiences.
  • Identify training needs in collaboration with the Learning & Development (L&D) team and subject matter experts.
  • Develop tailored training solutions to address identified needs and support employee growth.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs by evaluating employee performance and incorporating feedback.
  • Suggest and arrange retraining or other appropriate actions for insufficient scores, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate training delivery by coordinating logistics, including reserving and setting up audiovisual equipment and training rooms.
  • Schedule training sessions with attendees, prepare and distribute training aids, and perform other related tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties to support the organization's overall training and development efforts.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Training & Development Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience with various training formats.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in e-learning software and other training tools is a plus.
