Our client wants to strengthen their organization by adding the best available talent to their staff. They're seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help source, identify, screen, and hire individuals for various roles in their company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, demonstrable expertise in talent acquisition, proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, and the ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants that also deliver a legendary candidate experience. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills as you'll often work closely with others across different departments.

 

Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN–Hybrid Opportunity; Seeking Minnesota / Twin Cities based candidate only.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class customer service in every interaction with employees, candidates, hiring managers, and external recruiting agencies to ensure the recruitment experience reflects positively on the company and the HR team.
  • Conduct initial review of job descriptions and post job openings through our applicant tracking system and on other job posting sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).
  • Track requisitions and metrics related to time to hire, source of hire, etc., using this information to recommend opportunities for improvement in the recruitment process.
  • Schedule and support job posting kickoff calls with hiring managers to discuss recruitment strategy, candidate profile, and other relevant information about the position or team and facilitate the identification of qualified candidates for consideration.
  • Source and screen applicants by assessing their relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job they applied for, focusing on presenting diverse candidate slates to hiring managers for review.
  • Provide hiring managers with, at minimum, weekly status updates on open roles and partner with them to adjust the recruiting approach as needed, escalating issues or challenges to the HR Director for additional support.
  • Serve as point of contact for candidates and external recruiting agencies, partnering with them to provide a seamless and consistent candidate experience and providing information in a timely manner as needed.
  • Schedule interviews, debrief meetings, and check-in calls with hiring managers and external agencies.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing to continuously improve recruitment materials, specifically the Careers Page on the company website and social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 + years of recruiting and sourcing experience
  • Experience leveraging an ATS to source, recruit, and track candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in workstyle and able to change directions with ease
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and practices
