As an Interim Payroll Analyst, you will be key in ensuring accurate payroll tax calculations, compliance with federal and state regulations, and seamless payroll operations during a transition period. This position requires expertise in payroll tax reporting, reconciliation, and system updates while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Worksite Location: Golden Valley, MN - Hybrid. Only Minnesota-based candidates will be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate payroll tax calculations, wage withholdings, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll tax filings, partner with internal teams on system updates, and oversee tax remittances processed by third-party vendors.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and external tax service providers to prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Research and resolve payroll tax notices, ensuring timely responses and compliance with evolving regulations.
• Maintain payroll system credentials, oversee tax registrations for new locations, and provide guidance on payroll tax matters.
• Act as a key resource for internal teams, supporting payroll-related compliance, reporting, and system enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of payroll tax experience, with a strong understanding of U.S. payroll tax reporting.
• Experience with Workday is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and compliance requirements.
• Experience handling Canadian tax reporting is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
