Interim HR Process Owner (ID:46271)

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Process Owner to play a critical role in a large-scale Workday implementation project, liaising between HR and technology teams to ensure business requirements are seamlessly translated into effective system solutions. This role will focus on optimizing HR processes and change management, engaging multiple stakeholders to foster alignment, and ensuring HR functions are streamlined to support the organization's growth and employee experience.
Worksite Location: Eden Prairie, MN - Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite; ONLY Minnesota/Twin Cities based candidates will be considered. 
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key liaison between HR Business Partners, Workday project teams, and technology teams to bridge communication and translate HR needs into system functionality

  • Lead process design efforts by assessing current workflows, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements to drive standardization and efficiency

  • Guide process evolution by incorporating HR best practices and identifying opportunities for workflow improvements

  • Provide expertise in developing and documenting processes to support Workday HR modules, ensuring comprehensive reference material is created and maintained for ongoing HR operations

  • Collaborate with change management teams to support stakeholder engagement, including planning and executing communication strategies for organizational buy-in and adoption

  • Facilitate training and onboarding for HR teams, managers, and employees on new processes and Workday functionalities, ensuring smooth user transitions

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address system functionality gaps, coordinate testing efforts, and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal HR system performance

  • Establish and drive project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for Workday-related HR initiatives, reporting progress to leadership and ensuring project alignment with HR objectives

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in Workday implementation, specifically with hands-on HR process ownership and system design input

  • Deep understanding of HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and talent management, with the ability to translate these into effective system workflows

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations effectively

  • Expertise in change management, with a proven ability to develop and execute communication and training plans tailored to various user groups

  • Excellent relationship-building and collaborative skills to work across HR, IT, and leadership teams

  • Strong analytical skills to assess HR process needs, recommend improvements and document solutions

  • Experience creating detailed process documentation to support ongoing HR operations

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment with a proactive and self-directed approach to managing complex projects
