As the Interim HR Manager, you will oversee all HR functions and ensure smooth operations across payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and HRIS. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations while offering strategic support to the leadership team. Your expertise in HR compliance, benefits, and performance management will be essential as you guide the organization through change and support leaders and employees.

Worksite Location: Edina, MN - Hybrid, 1 day per week in-office; seeking only Minnesota based candidates. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and performance management.
  • Provide HR support for leaders and employees on various HR issues, including benefits administration, performance evaluations, and compliance matters.
  • Administer HRIS (Rippling or similar), assisting with system transitions and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate employee changes and updates with payroll and benefits administration, including medical, dental, and pension benefits.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Offer guidance on HR strategy, process improvement, and future HR operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., accounting and payroll) to ensure accuracy and consistency in employee data management.
  • Handle data requests for pension plans, benefits, and employee records, ensuring accuracy for active employees and retirees.
  • Provide support to leadership during times of organizational change, helping leaders transition to more people-focused management styles.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage employee relations, benefits inquiries, and general HR operations in a smaller or mid-sized organization.
  • Proficiency in handling data requests, pension valuations, and providing updates for both active employees and retirees.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide leadership and employees through change.
  • Experience navigating HR system transitions (e.g., from ADP to Rippling) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other teams across the organization.
