Our client seeks an experienced interim HR Manager to provide essential support during a transitional period. This role will work closely with the HR Director to lead and oversee key HR functions, including benefits management, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, and workers' compensation. The ideal candidate will offer strong leadership, effective decision-making, and a hands-on approach to HR operations, helping manage and guide the HR team through growth and change. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor HR Generalists and other HR team members, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including overseeing the Open Enrollment process and addressing any related issues.
  • Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate recruiting and onboarding efforts, ensuring a smooth recruitment process and effective integration of new hires.
  • Handle workers' compensation claims and processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, including managing communications and ensuring policy compliance.
  • Utilize the Datis (ContinuumCloud) system for HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits enrollment, and performance reviews.
  • Exercise strong decision-making and autonomy to address HR issues and streamline processes, relieving the HR Director of daily operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on initiatives related to DEI&B, training, and other employee programs.
  • Support employee relations (as needed) by addressing and resolving employee issues and providing guidance on workplace matters.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably in a small company setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm and composed demeanor, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.
