A top client seeks an Interim HR Director to provide leadership and support for 6 months during a transition. This role will focus on critical HR priorities, including compliance, employee relations, union negotiations, and strategic compensation projects. The ideal candidate will excel at balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities.

Worksite Location: Brooklyn Center, MN – Hybrid (onsite with flexibility for 1 remote day per week). Only Minnesota/Twin Cities based candidates will be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for HR operations, ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws.
  • Manage union negotiations and address complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead a strategic compensation analysis project to align with organizational objectives.
  • Revise and update the employee handbook to meet current compliance and policy standards.
  • Mentor and support a small HR team, driving collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize NeoGov and JD Edwards HR technology to enhance processes and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven HR leadership experience, including union negotiations, employee relations, and compensation strategy.
  • Strong ability to mentor teams, foster collaboration, and build an inclusive and equitable culture.
  • Expertise in HR compliance, policy development, and workforce planning.
  • Experience with NeoGov and JD Edwards systems preferred.
