Our client is looking for an Employee Relations Consultant for an 8+ month contract to assist in managing employee relations circumstances. The ideal candidate brings several years of knowledge and dedicated experience in this function. This individual will partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Employees, and Team Members to manage each case, advise, coach, and provide recommendations. 

Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN – Hybrid Opportunity; Seeking ONLY Minnesota / Twin Cities based candidate only.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support and consultation to the business, answering employee and manager questions.
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee relations with professionalism and a consultative approach.
  • Conduct HR investigations independently or with a cross-functional team from complaint inception to investigative findings and recommendations to management under legal guidance.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Guide management on the appropriate interpretation of organizational policy and procedures in associate/management issues.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree specializing in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of HR experience.
  • 3+ years of Employee Relations Experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Consultative, coaching mindset.
  • Skilled at conflict management and resolution and creative problem solving.
  • Independent and decisive thinker.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
