We seek a skilled and experienced Workday Financial Management Implementation Consultant to join an exciting team.

The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of Workday Financial Management (FINS) solutions for clients. This role requires a deep understanding of financial processes, systems configuration, and project management to ensure a smooth and successful deployment of Workday Financial applications. The consultant will work closely with client teams, project managers, and technical staff to design and implement solutions that meet client needs, enhance operational efficiency, and align with best practices in financial management.

This position is hybrid in Minnetonka, MN

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of Workday Financial Management (FINS) solutions, including scoping, planning, and executing projects.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial management requirements, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Asset Management, and other financial processes.
  • Configure Workday Financial modules by the client's business requirements and Workday best practices.
  • Design and document functional specifications, business process workflows, and system integrations.
  • During the implementation lifecycle, perform system testing, data validation, and issue resolution.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to clients through all project stages, including data conversion, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Train and mentor client users on Workday Financial functionality, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of the platform.
  • Lead month-end close within Workday.
  • Partner with internal technical teams, including developers and Workday specialists, to ensure the successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Stay up-to-date with Workday product releases and enhancements and recommend improvements to clients' financial systems as needed.
  • Assist with change management, communication, and post-implementation support to ensure client satisfaction.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Workday Financial Management (FINS) implementations or similar ERP financial systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Workday certification in Financial Management or related modules is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
