As the Director of Finance for a growing restaurant group in Wayzata, you'll build and lead the FP&A function, driving financial strategy, reporting, and operational efficiency. This hands-on role partners with leadership to provide data-driven insights, optimize profitability, and shape the company's financial future. Worksite Location: This is an in-office position. Offices located in Wayzata, MN.
Salary Range: $150k - $175k/yr. base salary

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Own FP&A – Develop and scale budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Reporting & Data Analytics – Establish real-time financial reporting, dashboards, and key performance tracking.
- Strategic Partnership – Collaborate with leadership and department heads to provide insights that drive decision-making.
- Planning – Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
- Operational Finance – Improve efficiency and cost controls across the organization.
- Communicate Results – Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Highlight Opportunities – Identify trends, collaborate on solutions, and drive profitability.
- Investor & Leadership Reporting – Provide data-driven insights for executive teams and ownership.
- Hands-On Leadership – Work at both strategic and tactical levels to make an immediate impact.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in FP&A, finance leadership, or strategic finance, ideally in hospitality, restaurants, or multi-unit businesses.
- Experience developing an FP&A function to support a multi-divisional business.
- Strong understanding of restaurant P&Ls, labor modeling, and cost controls.
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus.
- Expertise in report development, system implementation, and financial tool creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling, Power-BI a plus.
- Strong communication skills—able to break down financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- A curiosity to understand all areas of the business and how that knowledge can project the future performance of the business.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a large number of companies and P&L in a growing, evolving business.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or CPA a plus.
