We are excited to be seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented Director of Finance and Accounting to oversee all accounting operations. This role is pivotal in driving the financial strategy and maintaining the company's financial health. Reporting directly to ownership, this role manages all accounting aspects and contributes to strategic decisions, aligning financial management with company objectives. As the key financial professional, this individual will have a significant opportunity for growth.
Worksite Location: Plymouth, IN; Onsite. Only candidates able to be onsite will be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Analyze financial data and present financial reports accurately and timely; communicate monthly and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the company's financial status.
- Provide strategic financial input on decision-making issues affecting the organization (e.g., evaluation of potential sales initiatives, investments, and/or mergers and acquisitions).
- Prepare detailed budgets and financial forecasts and present reports to senior management and ownership.
- Manage cash flow and funding strategies, monitor banking activities, and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to prepare and conduct annual reviews. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, working closely with external auditors and advisors.
- Implement robust financial controls and systems to support the growth and complexity of the business.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Proven experience creating financial statements and general ledger functions within a manufacturing organization.
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis and reporting, with a foundational understanding of key financial principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal, with the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle complex, multifaceted financial projects and to maintain professional discretion with confidential information.
