As a Director of our Executive Search practice, you'll contribute to business development and drive the execution of engagements for the division. You'll work closely with clients to define hiring needs and identify, engage, recruit, and vet high-performing talent to meet them. Your responsibilities will include creating a search strategy, developing candidate pipelines, and managing day-to-day logistics to ensure a smooth rhythm across all phases of the search process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored and effective communications strategies to market searches/opportunities and generate interest with appropriate executive-level talent
- Leverage multiple channels to research and uncover high-performing candidates, including personal and company relationships, direct sourcing, and online channels
- Be a student of the market: gather intelligence and quickly develop knowledge about the talent landscape
- Coordinate the creation of search-specific position profiles with assistance from the Marketing team
- Lead outreach and recruiting: message and engage prospective candidates and manage applicants to assess fit
- Prepare for and participate in client interactions, including discovery interviews, candidate assessments, update meetings, and panel presentations
- Manage search logistics and timeline, including day-to-day communications with clients and candidates and scheduling coordination for Versique and client interviews
- Create and manage all candidate documents, including resumes and search-specific Statements of Qualifications (SOQs)
- Cultivate consultative, trusting relationships with clients and candidates through all search phases
- Launch Candidate Program after engagements
- Track recruitment metrics to provide leadership with information on recruitment activities and outcomes
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in executive search to continuously improve the process
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7-10 years of experience in retained executive search, including recruitment, interviewing, and relationship management
- Knowledge of recruitment tools and techniques, including applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms.
- Significant experience in working directly with executive-level leaders and talent
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- An agile mindset and work style; ability to work effectively with change and ambiguity
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with others
- Strong project and process management skills; ability to manage time and competing demands to achieve goals
- Resourcefulness: self-motivated, work independently and with minimal oversight
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
Location: St. Louis Park, MN
Schedule: Hybrid - office is open Monday-Friday. Employees may take advantage of hybrid work schedule by working remotely Monday and Friday while working onsite Tuesday-Thursday.
Compensation: Base salary with uncapped commission.
