We seek a detail-oriented, customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide frontline technical support to employees, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, setting up and maintaining IT equipment, and assisting users with best practices for system security and software applications. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • 5 days a week on-site position in Eagan, MN
• $50K-65K salary range

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service requests efficiently.
• Collaborate with IT team members to diagnose complex technical problems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Assist with hardware deployment, including imaging and setup.
• Perform system updates and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
• Train employees on software applications and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and protocols.
• Create and update troubleshooting guides and process documentation.
• Document recurring issues to improve future support processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
• Familiarity with mobile device management solutions.
• Physical capability to lift and transport IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of initiative.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
