In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, objectives, and pain points, positioning yourself as a trusted partner in navigating data-driven decisions. You will be instrumental in shaping and executing the roadmap for the Data Science team, ensuring alignment with business goals and the delivery of actionable insights. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in data science, proven leadership abilities, and a history of delivering valuable data-driven insights and solutions for internal stakeholders and external clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and guide a talented team of data scientists, cultivating a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data science team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities
• Strategic Direction & Innovation:
  • Drive the development and execution of a data science strategy that aligns with the company's overarching business objectives
  • Continuously explore emerging trends in data science, AI, and machine learning, integrating relevant innovations into the team's processes
• Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Partner with both internal teams and external clients to understand their data needs, business challenges, and goals, identifying opportunities for data-driven improvements
  • Serve as a key advisor, translating complex data into actionable insights that address customer pain points and objectives
• Project Oversight & Execution:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data science projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and remain within scope.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure business requirements are well-understood and translated into data-driven solutions.
• Advanced Data Analysis & Modeling:
  • Contribute directly to data analysis and model development, applying advanced statistics, machine learning, and AI techniques
  • Ensure high-quality, accurate data analysis and model outcomes that support business decision-making
• Reporting & Communication:
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and visualizations
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, team performance, and key data-driven metrics
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with teams across the company, such as IT, marketing, product management, and finance, to harness the full potential of data science for business growth
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry leaders to stay at the forefront of technological advancements

Required Skills & Experience:

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• At least five years of experience working in data science, with a strong track record of successful leadership and project delivery
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python (strongly preferred), R, or SQL
• Solid experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI methodologies
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic business needs
• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical data practices is a plus
