We seek a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures that drive business intelligence, analytics, and operational efficiency. This role involves developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, optimizing data flow, and ensuring seamless integration across various data sources. You will work closely with developers, analysts, and business teams to support data-driven decision-making and improve system performance.

  • 4 days a week on-site, 1 day remote- position in Maple Grove, MN
  • $90-110K salary range

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and reliability.
  • Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and AWS-based databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data transformation and analysis.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports to provide actionable business insights.
  • Automate and optimize manual data processes for improved efficiency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related technical issues, supporting database administration as needed.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, database management, or analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong expertise in SQL, database design, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS for ETL development and automation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and SSRS for data visualization and reporting.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and data storage solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Programming: Python, SQL
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server (SSRS, SSIS)
  • Cloud: AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda)
  • ETL & Data Integration: SSIS for ETL workflows
  • BI & Reporting: Power BI, SSRS
  • Database Administration: Performance tuning, indexing, security best practices
