As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our financial strategy, ensuring precision and innovation in our tax practices. This role is pivotal in shaping financial health and guiding strategic decisions. The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns with precision for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
  • Manage quarterly estimated tax payments and provide strategic insights to optimize our tax position.
  • Analyze financial accounts, advise management on tax implications, and develop strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Oversee tax compliance and reporting and maintain impeccable records.
  • Assist with tax audits, offer expert guidance, and coordinate tax preparation efforts.
  • Review financial documentation and prepare thorough documentation before filing.
  • Ready Federal, State, or local tax returns for individuals, business establishments, or other organizations.
  • Frequent computation of quarterly estimated tax payments for corporations and individuals.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and tax accounts, records, and reports; determine taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
  • Advise management on the effects of business activities on taxes and strategies for minimizing tax liability.
  • Confirm that the establishment complies with periodic tax payments, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements.
  • Help with tax audits.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Five+ years in public accounting or a similar field is preferred, with a minimum of three years required.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of financial concepts, tax laws, and GAAP, with hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Ability to navigate complex financial information and accurately identify tax liabilities.
