The new CPO will be a key thought leader in driving transformational change and developing the organization's people strategy. The successful candidate will focus on leading the company's human capital initiatives, building trust within the HR team, and playing a critical role in shaping the company's future through acquisitions and innovation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key executive leadership team member, providing insight and leadership on all people-related strategies. Shape the organization's future direction with a focus on growth and sustainability.
- Thought Leadership & Acquisitions: Lead HR efforts in the context of acquisitions and mergers, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with corporate culture and values. Act as a champion for innovation and continuous improvement in all HR processes.
- Build vs. Maintain: Develop a balanced approach to organizational growth, ensuring that existing culture and operational efficiencies are maintained and enhanced while new capabilities and structures are built.
- Strategic Partner: Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, driving the company's people agenda and ensuring its integration with overall business strategy.
- HR Team Leadership & Trust Building: Lead, mentor, and inspire the current HR team. Build a strong foundation of trust and credibility across the organization, ensuring the HR function is considered a strategic and valued partner to all departments.
- Executive Table Influence: Take an active role at the executive table, advocating for employee engagement, leadership development, and talent management, focusing on enhancing the company's performance and long-term growth.
- Transformational Change: Spearhead efforts to drive large-scale change initiatives aligned with company growth, focusing on improving organizational agility, adaptability, and resilience.
- Succession Planning: Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure a robust leadership pipeline across all levels of the organization, safeguarding the company's future growth and stability. –
- Multi-Location & Diverse Geography: Manage the complexities of leading HR across multiple locations and geographies, ensuring that local nuances are respected while maintaining company-wide consistency in policies and practices
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a track record of success in senior leadership roles, preferably with experience as a CPO.
- Experience leading HR in a multi-location, geographically diverse organization.
- Proven experience managing transformational change initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and succession planning.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices in a multi-state environment. - A leader with a collaborative approach who fosters a culture of trust and inclusion.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
