Worksite Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota – Hybrid Opportunity; Seeking MN based candidates.
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $40-$50, DOE.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage grants, including reconciliations and manual billing for expense pass-throughs.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, including preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing account activity, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, financial reports, and schedules to support accurate reporting.
- Assist with annual audits, Single Audits, and IRS Form 990 preparations.
- Provide financial analysis, process improvement recommendations, and support for special projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams on accounting activities and build cross-functional partnerships.
- Support and back up the Accounting Associate as needed.
- Stay current on best practices in nonprofit accounting and GAAP compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit organization (grant and fund accounting experience preferred).
- A strong foundation in general ledger accounting, including month-end close processes.
- Proficient in financial reporting and analysis with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- CPA or MBA is strongly preferred.
