The Accounting & Contracting Manager oversees contract administration and financial operations, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and managing the full contract lifecycle. This role involves preparing and reviewing project proposals, handling invoicing, monitoring contract deliverables, and maintaining relationships with USG Contract Officers and defense contractors. Accounting responsibilities include financial reporting, month-end close processes, fixed asset management, and strategic financial planning.
Salary: $110k - $125k base salary plus annual bonus.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Contract Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit new project proposals.
- Monitor and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer contract requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Oversee contract deliverables, requirements, and submission deadlines.
- Prepare and submit invoices and resolve contract-related issues as they arise.
- Manage customer contract relationships, including reviewing draft contracts and maintaining physical/electronic contract files.
- Develop relationships with USG Contract Officers and Contract Managers at other US defense contractors.
- Assess business opportunities and implement policies for contract management and administration.
- Maintain and oversee program budgets, providing internal reporting to senior personnel.
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month-end financial close process, financial statement preparation, and projections.
- Contribute to financial decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage fixed assets and maintain supporting documentation.
- Evaluate and implement new accounting software/systems to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with and provide backup support for the payroll submission process.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
- Experience with contracts and/or bids & proposals is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel is beneficial.
- Commitment to high ethical standards in business practices.
