Our client seeks a hands-on HR professional to establish foundational HR processes for a growing organization. This interim role offers the opportunity to shape HR infrastructure, oversee compliance, and support key functions like payroll, onboarding, and talent acquisition. Worksite Location: Blaine, MN – Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Only Minnesota/Twin Cities based candidates will be considered.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end HR functions, including compliance, payroll, onboarding, and talent acquisition.
- Develop HR policies, best practices, and processes to support business growth and compliance.
- Oversee payroll processing and employee records management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support onboarding and new hire integration, creating a seamless employee experience.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, helping source, screen, and hire key roles (no current ATS in place).
- Provide guidance on performance management, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
- Work closely with leadership to identify HR priorities and shape long-term HR strategy.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end HR roles, including payroll, onboarding, and talent acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and policy development.
- Experience working in small organizations or as an HR department of one.
- Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS and payroll systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to navigate change and implement HR processes from the ground up.
