Senior Human Resources Executive opportunity to partner with executive stakeholders and Board of Directors to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met. Provide guidance and consultation amid change while ensuring stability and continued success. Lead HR initiatives, develop short- and long-term strategies, and be a valued collaborative resource for the organization.
The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) is the senior executive of the organization responsible for leading the organization's overall Human Resource strategy, overseeing all aspects of employee management, including hiring, onboarding, training, compensation, performance management, benefits, culture development, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.  The CHRO will align human resource initiatives with strategic objectives. This position assists executive leadership in developing short- and long-term strategies, goals, policies and procedures, program and service evaluation, and leads the organization's capacity to maximize Human Resources' overall impact in fulfilling organizational mission and vision.

This position supervises the Director positions for Human Resources, Organizational Development, Payroll and Benefits, and Employee/Occupational Health.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Excellent communication skills effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, build relationships, and influence stakeholders
  • Execute strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent, including the hiring process, onboarding procedures, and succession planning. 
  • Administer competitive compensation and benefits strategies, including the organization's salary structures, ensuring market alignment
  • Administer the annual performance management and merit increase process
  • Oversee the organizational development process to equip employees with the necessary skills to perform their roles and advance their careers
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to executive and senior leadership of each department regarding human resource and organizational development issues
  • Gather, evaluate, and disseminate information to employees, leadership, and the Board of Directors in a timely, effective, and efficient manner
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR vision aligned with the strategic plan of the organization
  • Knowledge of financial management principles, market trends, and the impact of HR decisions on business performance, effectively utilizing the organization's resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives  
  • Lead the employee engagement process, including full and pulse surveys, reporting results, and assisting leaders with improvement opportunities
  • Develop an employee-oriented organizational culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance, and quality
  • Oversee employee relations, address concerns, manage mitigation, and ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and the organization's human resource policies
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations on behalf of the organization, including diversity and inclusion mandates
  • Ensure staffing strategies are in support of the organization's ability to maintain and expand present and future services and geographic areas
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies to support the business goals and objectives
Required Skills and Experience: Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree related to Human Resources and/or Business Management in a related field or experience that is commensurate
  • Five years of leadership experience in human resource management
  • Five years of supervisory experience at a senior executive leadership level
  • Five years of budgetary responsibility
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Master's degree in Human Resources and/or Business Management in a related field
  • Eight to ten years of leadership experience in Human Resources management
  • Experience with a multi-site organization
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Five years of strategic planning experience
Compensation:
Annual base salary range: $175,000-200,000
