The Production Manager is responsible for the safe delivery and oversight of production and fulfillment within the facility to meet or exceed the highest Quality Assurance standards. This role manages production/packaging/fulfillment schedules of the small and large batch metalworking and coolant manufacturing cells to ensure schedule compliance, process excellence, and quality standards.
The role includes ten direct reports across manufacturing and finished goods fulfillment warehouses and leading, mentoring, coaching, and training the unionized production workforce in safe manufacturing practices.
Salary range: 85-115K DOQ-full benefits package
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Measure and drive improvement in On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery to customers.
- Responsible for coordinating the production schedule with the Production Scheduler.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the fleet and delivery drivers.
- Accountable for the overall operational efficiency of the Production area.
- Work closely with the Quality department on discrepant materials and products.
- Interface with the Maintenance department to optimize Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Develop line and process production standards and develop goals to meet or exceed standards.
- Accurately account for all raw materials and packaging components on each work order.
- Coordinate finished goods transport and storage to maximize warehouse utilization.
- Responsible for meeting all required production deadlines to support customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for maintaining established safety guidelines while actively looking for ways to improve employee safety.
- Accountable for actively promoting the safety of all Production employees and promptly addressing safety issues and behaviors.
- Responsible for coaching and performance management of production team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 + years of experience within an Industrial/Process oriented manufacturing environment
- 5 + years of leadership experience required
- 3 years + in a union environment
- 3 + years of experience with ISO/LEAN processing
