The Senior Accountant will support the CFO and Controller with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the organization's financial health. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a mission-driven company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close processes
  • Analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and address anomalies
  • Reconcile restaurant inventory and provide actionable recommendations to department leaders
  • Administer payroll processing for restaurant operations.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements
  • Develop and maintain company policies and procedures documentation
  • Support annual audit activities and compliance reporting requirements
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls alongside the Controller
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with databases and accounting software
  • Highly organized, with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently
