One of our amazing, fast-paced clients seeks an HR Coordinator to support its HR team with administrative and employee life-cycle responsibilities. As an HR Coordinator, you'll be critical in supporting the HR department by managing employee records, assisting with onboarding, and responding to HR inquiries. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to build trust with the team while gaining exposure to diverse HR functions in a growing organization.

Worksite Location: Bloomington, MN – Onsite; ONLY Minnesota/Twin Cities based candidates will be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Enter and manage full life-cycle employee changes in Paylocity, including onboarding and terminations
  • Handle unemployment claims, employment verifications, and HR-related administrative tasks
  • Manage the HR inbox, triaging first-level HR questions and directing inquiries as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews, track trends, and provide actionable insights to HR leadership
  • Support system updates, such as uploading performance management forms in Paylocity
  • Assist in creating and maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with filing and retention policies
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes, including preparing materials and managing schedules
  • Maintain and update HR reports, providing accurate data for analysis and decision-making
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on projects and initiatives to improve HR operations

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in human resources or business is preferred
  • 2-3 years of HR or administrative experience with a strong interest in advancing within HR
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS, payroll, or ATS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service skills with a people-oriented approach.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to handle sensitive topics professionally
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with some ambiguity
