The Territory Manager is a key outside sales role responsible for driving profitable growth within an assigned territory. This position involves managing day-to-day sales, fostering relationships with new and existing accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service to become a trusted client resource. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, participate in industry events, and actively engage in professional development to maintain industry knowledge and leadership standards. The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated professional committed to ethical practices and relationship-building.
Prefer candidates in or around the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area to help achieve sales and gross profit objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth by developing and maintaining customer accounts and meeting assigned sales and gross profit objectives within the territory
- Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with customers, acting as a knowledgeable resource on products and industry trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and support for clients, addressing any challenges to enhance customer satisfaction
- Participate in industry events, training, and networking activities to stay up to date on market developments, strengthen industry connections, and boost professional growth
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven sales experience meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets, ideally within a relevant industry (Wholesale bolts & fasteners)
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and establish trust
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with strong data entry skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
