Our client is a small, growing company that designs and manufactures shooting sports products that lead the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-owned company and ensure efficient production processes.
We are seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Mechanic responsible for operating and maintaining various types of packaging machinery. Attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the overall success of the company's operations.
The right candidate will have an excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in automated packaging and assembly equipment, PLC functions, and sensor applications. You should have experience maintaining and repairing automated packing and assembly equipment. Electrical schematic understanding is a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed, feed) to meet product specifications
- Operate machines safely and efficiently during production
- Monitor machine operations to detect any problems or defects
- Conduct regular inspections of machines and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot issues and perform minor repairs as needed
- Ensure that products meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Oversee and manage other department employees
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Machine Maintenance Mechanic/Operator is required
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and industrial mechanics
- Ability to analyze machine performance data and make improvements accordingly
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
